Quote Monday

“Each night Father fills me with dread
When he sits on the foot of my bed;
I’d not mind that he speaks
In gibbers and squeaks,
But for seventeen years he’s been dead.”

I’ve decided to dedicate my October Quote Monday’s to one of my favorite artists and writer, Edward Gorey :) Starting with my favorite poem of his. I really love his illustrations and how much detail and time it takes to create his work. He certainly had a lot of patience (something that I’m working on!) :) Plus his stories are wonderfully creepy ;D

I wish you all a spooky week! ;)

Thank you for looking/reading!

    Love it! Like the way the hands are clutching the covers.

  • Thanks, Keith! :D They were tricky and I feel they still need work, but at least I got the point across! ;D
