Another great Ink Drop from Goulet Pens! This month’s drop has a spooky, witchy theme, which I loved.
- Waterman Mysterious Blue
- Noodler’s Nightshade
- DeAtramentis Fog Grey
- Private Reserve Black Magic Blue
- Noodler’s Heart of Darkness
Here’s the Ink Drop Doodle! Eyeball soup anyone? ;) I used all the colored inks in this drop separately (did not mix) and outlined the doodle using Noodler’s Heart of Darkness with a Pilot Metropolitan (F nib), Prismacolor Markers in grey tones for the skin on SN2 paper*.

Waterman Mysterious Blue was a surprise and gave me a few head tilts to make sure I was still using the right ink :) When used the ink looks more blue and then it dries this really pretty desaturated greenish blue!

Super neat! Here are some more images:
Note! My scanner pulled a bit more violet out of Private Reserve Black Magic Blue – especially in the doodle, it’s more blueish than purple. I took photos with and without flash, so you can get an idea of the color. I might do a visual review, so I can compare it with other ink swatches. It is a real night indigo ink!
I really liked this theme! It is a good set of inks for a spooky October! My favorites are Waterman Mysterious Blue and Noodler’s Nightshade!
What are your favorites from this month’s Ink Drop?
Thank you for reading/looking! :)

(Images scanned in with minimal level adjustment (unless noted) and photos taken with Samsung NX mini (with and without flash). Ink swatches are done on Maruman Mnemosyne Word cards with a dip pen and Tachikawa Comic Nib G. As with any ink scans and/or photos I try to be consistent in color. What you see on your monitor might not be the actual color, but it should be a fairly close representation.)
