I’m getting pretty excited for the month of February. “Why?” you may ask. Well, because it’s International Correspondence Writing Month (InCoWriMo)! InCoWriMo is a challenge to “hand-write and mail/deliver one letter, card, note or postcard every day during the month of February”. Here is the website that has much more information: http://incowrimo.org/
On the website they have a really concise FAQ, that’ll answer any questions you may have about InCoWriMo. It may look intimidating, but just remember, even if you send a postcard or little note with a quote to someone, anyone (alive), that counts as your correspondence for the day :) They even have a list of 28 people who you can write to for those 28 days!
Also, a fellow blogger is having a giveaway, in which, anyone who sends him something during InCoWriMo, wins! See his blog post here for more information: http://penpaperinkletter.com/incowrimo-2014-giveaway-enter-will-win/
This is my first year participating, and if you’re in as well, you can send a letter to me and I’ll reply back (even after InCoWriMo is over):

I love how in the days of email, one can still appreciate the power of a handwritten note. Personally, I enjoy writing everyday, hence why I keep journals and sketchbooks and ‘snail-mail’ reminds me of happy memories. For instance, when my parents and I would travel from Germany to the U.S., I would frequently make pen-pals with the flight attendants and I treasured the postcards I received from around the world.
I’m looking forward to writing (and hopefully) receiving letters/cards/notes during the month of February – or anytime of the year, really – and I hope you participate as well!
Thanks for checking out this post and happy writing! :)For projects I'm currently working on, free PDF zines and printables, sketchbook pages, videos, & more support my work on Patreon! :)
