The Goulet Pen Company sent me the April Ink Drop! Though, saddening, this will be the last Ink Drop from Goulet Pens. After some researching, they have come to the difficult decision to retire the Ink Drop Program. This month, April 2016, will be the last month of the program and they will be welcoming new members through the end of the month, but effective May 1, Ink Drop will no longer be available for purchase. They will still be offering ink samples, though, so that’s a plus! (Goulet pen blog post with more information here.)
I would like to thank Goulet Pens for having the Inks Drops while they did (I was a member since Jan-2014), it was nice to receive inks I would have not tried otherwise and I liked the themes :) I’m also grateful they included my artwork and shared my previous reveal posts in the past! :)
Now to the Drop!
March’s Theme: Forest Foray
- Diamine Magical Forest
- Diamine Sherwood Green
- Diamine Terracotta
- Noodler’s Forest Green
- Platinum Mix-Free Earth Brown*
*Platinum Mix Free Earth Brown when scanned looks reddish toned brown, but it is more yellow/orange brown (see gallery of photos below).
Here’s my Ink Drop Doodle– I used all the inks in this drop separately (did not mix), using a brush. The outlines were done with Copic Multiliners (.3 and.5). I also used a Uni-ball Signo White Gel Pen.
This month’s themed inks were all browns and greens – beautiful forest colors! :D. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan of Diamine inks, so naturally I enjoyed the Diamine inks ink this drop! One of my favorite dark green inks were included in this drop– Diamine Sherwood Green! I liked how all the inks had a nice variation when I painted the doodle.
My favorites are Diamine Sherwood Green and Diamine Terracotta!
What are your favorites from this month’s Ink Drop?
Thank you for reading/looking! :)

Images scanned in with minimal level adjustment (unless noted) and photos taken with Samsung NX mini (with and without flash). Ink swatches are done on Maruman Mnemosyne Word cards with a dip pen and Tachikawa Comic Nib G. As with any ink scans and/or photos I try to be consistent in color. What you see on your monitor might not be the actual color, but it should be a fairly close representation. I received these ink samples from The Goulet Pen Company for the purposes of review. All opinions in this review are mine, and are not bias based on how I received these samples.
